230 is way too high on a regular basis for oil going to the cooler much
less returning to the engine from the cooler. The generally accepted number is 180 degrees at the point where most of us are getting our readings from. john smith wrote: Ross Richardson wrote: The probe goes into the Lycoming spin on oil filter adapter.
