There could be just as many snacks customers as there were before the on-pump readers were installed. Many of the people who used to buy gas and pay for it inside aren't going inside anymore. Personally, I would agree that they *probably* don't sell as much. I don't happen to be an "impulse buyer" myself, so they aren't selling fewer snacks because *I* shop outside, but I've read that many Americans are.
