If a 70 year old grandmother can land a Cessna, what's the problem with someone taking lipitor or nexium or prozac? There are pilots with missing eyes and limbs for gosh sakes. How many accidents do we know for sure have been caused by banned meds or by medical problems at all? What do you think about this, doctor? The issue about passengers on part 121 flights carrying medicine goes to the issue of air travel privacy. Do we turn the security checkpoint into a one stop shopping police check point to look for deadbeat dads and other societal miscreants? Ted |
