As if there weren't enough reasons to despise Chicago, now this. Just look
at how they're crucifying this poor sap, for doing what ANY fan would have
done in the heat of the moment.

Go Marlins!

Except that at least 5 fans by my count did not. Look at the picture.
You have two dorks grabbing at the ball and a wall of people standing
back.

True -- but the Chicago Tribune reported today that even the folks in the
stands nearest to the "dork" admitted that NO ONE saw the player rushing to
make the catch -- he just appeared out of no where.

This is perfectly logical, given that everyone was looking UP at the ball,
as it was coming down on them at 80 mph. Many people tried to duck out of
the way, probably because they lost it in the lights.

Those who were able to follow the ball tried to catch it -- it's just human
nature.

The hysterical thing about it is that they are blaming this one fan for an
8-3 loss. There was only one out when the fan caught this foul ball anyway.
The Cubs lost because they gave away five extra points, not because a fan
caught a foul ball. Blaming a fan for "keeping the inning alive" when there
was only one out in the first place is incredible.

The Cubs lost because that is what they do. It is a tradition nearly 100
years old.

Shouldn't be too hard - there aren't very many people who are at least 95 years
old.

To a pilot, altitude is like money - it is possible that having too much
could prove embarassing, but having too little is always fatal.
