The bullets aren't heavy enough to kill a buffalo, the only ones available commercially are 325 grain, at least the last time I checked. I'm sure more are on the way. Best you could do is fill him with holes and have him bleed to death. On soft tissue animals like deer and humans though it would make a hole you sould stick an arm thru.
