One problem (among many) in politics is that the most qualified people for the job are usually the least interested in it. The people who succeed do so for all the wrong reasons, in all the wrong ways, regardless of political party. I doubt anyone who's gotten as far in the Presidential race as Kerry has would think twice about giving up flying for a term (or two) in the White House. It's a no-brainer for someone like that, just as it's a no-brainer for most of us to stick to flying. Pete |
