The newspapers are reporting a Mooney crashed a few miles from RDU (that's North Carolina, USA) -- mid afternoon Monday, conditions looked like soft IFR. At least one dead, total number on board has not been disclosed yet. Take a read of rec.aviation.owning. In that group a pilot just posted that this accident was literally in his back yard. -- Peter |
