You haven't been in aviation long, have you?
Liddy Dole is the only individual to unite all the aviation alphabets
for a common purpose... her removal from the post of Secretary of
Transportation during the Reagan administration.
Liddy Dole, single-handedly, set aviation back 20 years during her three
year tenure.
Her most famous quote of the time, "I want to be the "Safety" Secretary!"
The woman has never held a public sector job.
The only reason she got the job as head of the Red Cross was for fund
raising. Her husband's political connections to the big money people
were used to replenish a diminished Red Cross bank account.
