ASW 28 trim lever interference
The US Schleicher dealer warned me of a problem with the stick mounted
trim lever. If the trim is full forward the instument console will hit the trim lever when the canopy is closed. I heeded the warning and avoided breaking it for over 2 years. My luck ran out last week when, as I rushed to the pilot's meeting, I called back to my crew to close the canopy. Trim was forward and the lever was broken off. Why Schleicher went into production with such a stupid design is beyond my comprehension. Andy
