My ISP, Starband, still has it and it is still updated, I would suggest you
contact your ISP or whatever organization handles your news groups and ask
them to put it back on.

A lot of ISP's are "trimming" or
outsourcing entirely their Usenet
services. I was forced to switch to
a pay service (giganews) which still
has it.

I agree with your intention - it's about
the best binaries group there is. Solid
content, no spam, no flamefests. I post to
it regularly.

You may want to look at www.teranews.com , they carry a.b.p.aviation as well
as a.b.multimedia.aviation and, of course, thousands of other groups.
They offer a "free" account (free but for a one-time US$3.95 setup fee)
which allows 50mb of downloads per day, or greater amounts per day for a
monthly fee depending on how much one wishes to pay. For example, at $7.95
per month I have a 250mb daily limit. I won't go into all the options, that
information is available on the web site, but I've been a subscriber for
nearly three years and have no complaint with the service.
