Yeah, I was planning to take my brother to Oshkosh last year, a dream we've
both had for many years. My youngest son decides to get married that
weekend! I tried, but the family wouldn't let me get out of it :-) We're
hoping for this year.

May 21st and 22nd. Damn! The same weekend as Pinckneyville.

You know where I'll be.

I know. And it gets worse: My nephew is getting married that weekend --

in
Seattle.

He's already moved the date once for me -- I doubt he'll do it again!

So, I miss the airshow in my own backyard -- AND Pinckneyville...

:-(

Back in 1986, my wife wanted to get married the first weekend of August.
I told her I would be out of town and that the second weekend would be fine.
Another friend's fiance wanted the same weekend.
His response, "Okay, but my dad and I won't be there."

This just in from the manager at IYK (Inyokern, CA):

" We are right now planning a big fly-in on April 9, and I just forgot
about you when we made a list of potential volunteers. We will have jets
which do formation flying, T38s, P51, and also a car show, Harley Davidson
group, everything up to dancing girls. We have asked Sierra Soaring if they
want to sell glider rides, too. "

Stay Tuned....., News at 11
