I was parked in the Vintage Camping near the North-South runway, sort of half listening to the announcer (who was far more often annoying, than helpful), when something he said caused me to pay more attention. Some kind of high wing plane, powered by a 300 hp geared-down diesel, went zipping by as a demo. You could hardly hear it, so well muffled was the engine, and the prop geared to 2000 rpm. Amazing quiet.
