![]() P.S. Your paintball tanks sound mighty cool. Sounds to me like you have what it takes to build an airplane. From what I've learned it takes 2 things to build an airplane. Time, and money. At this stage in my life I don't have an abundance of either one. Maybe in 10 years when I get some of these kids raised.... ![]() |

The problem with this is that I still need to weld on some stand offs for the stringers that will define the belly. Because the exhaust and the Piper Tripacer landing gear need to be integrated, I have to move slowly and carefully there. So I'll be refining the engine and testing it this summer and installing the fuel tanks. Then when the engine is tested, I'll install it and finish the belly. One of my "tricks" I need to think about is how to route the exhaust through the bottom of the firewall. The plan is to have the exhaust system augment the cooling. It's going to take a while to figure things out. Corky Scott |

John I have a Pietenpol on the gear and ready to build the wings. I started it in 1967. If I don't get it finished pretty soon we will both be "antiques" before it flies! :-) Highflyer |

I certainly would take issue with either of those statements.
It's good you have your priorities straight. Good luck on the aviation career if and when it becomes a reality. From what I've learned it takes 2 things to build an airplane. Time, and money. At this stage in my life I don't have an abundance of either one. Maybe in 10 years when I get some of these kids raised.... ![]() |
