Single engine, single pilot IFR in the clag is not my definition of reliable or desirable transportation. Anything beyond that means you are mostly a button pushing knob twisting passenger. Not much brain activity required and horribly boring. It was both reliable and desirable for me for more than 6 years. When I can own my own airplane again, it'll be the same again. The stats for IFR flying aren't all that bad for a well-trained pilot in a well-maintained airplane. Matt |
