I think it's safe to say there is no airplane that will not flare
without power, if flown properly. Even the space shuttle does it! That's true, IF you keep your airspeed up. Something I clearly didn't do! Which, of course, was why I decided to practice the maneuver in the first place -- I knew I was getting rusty at emergency procedures... That's the trouble with owning the plane.
