You guys okay? Our thoughts are with you and your countrymen...
we just get on with things. I had the inconvenience of having to walk a couple of times on Thursday that's all. Ah, that famous British "stiff upper lip"! Glad to hear it. -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

Jay,
Thought you might be interested in one response from a British friend: http://www.lnreview.co.uk/news/005167.php Seems the British have a certain disdain for those with little minds who feel that murdering innocents is appropriate behavior. I find myself agreeing with the writer. BTW, you going to be parking in your usual location at OSH? I'll be in the same row as the last several years. Hope to see you. Warmest regards, Rick |

Thanks for the link. Terrorists are the ultimate scoundrels.
BTW, you going to be parking in your usual location at OSH? I'll be in the same row as the last several years. Hope to see you. Same here. If you've figured out how to reserve a specific campsite in the North 40, please be sure to let me know how it's done! Each year we've been parked in wildly different locations, even though we always try to arrive the day before the convention begins. Last year was the ultimate spot -- right next to the clear zone at the end of Rwy 27 -- and I'd give almost anything to get it again! You gonna be around for the rec.aviation party at our campsite on Wednesday night? It should be a great chance to put some faces with some names -- last year we had around 40 people show up for food and drink! -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

The link is to a photo taken at about 16.15Z. Today is National Commemoration Day celebrating 60 years since the end of WW2. There are a few hundred thousand people who packed the Mall for a flypast by WW2 planes, including Catalina, DC-3s B25, B17 and of course a Spitfire, Hurricane and a Lancaster bomber. Best sound in the world is the Merlin engine. All these people were not going to have the day spoilt by what happened on Wednesday. The terrorists win when you change what you do. http://www.quantity-surveyor.org.uk/11.jpg |

It was considered to be a Once in a Lifetime event. The once in a lifetime event is about to happen again in 2006! The Gathering of Mustangs and Legends: "The Final Round Up" plans not only to repeat the grandeur of the last event but to exceed it with a proposed 100 Mustangs in attendance and a 51 Plane Mustang Formation along with countless Mustang pilots and aces from WWII and Korea.
