Hey, fellers, PLEASE for those of us who don't have all 8000 USA airport
identifiers memorized -- names and not idents. OK? Jim "Smitty" wrote in message ... Anyone else using this routing? We'll be leaving MGW around 7:30-8:00AM on the 24th. One stop in IN. |

Our routing is almost exactly over MGW. We actually plan Direct to GYY (Gary, IN) and then scoot up the Chicago lake shore. Of course there is always a potty/meal stop in there somehwere (MGW, OSU, Blufton, etc...) |

![]() We're going up in a 172. I'm driving up to Morgantown (sorry Jim) from south western VA (Roanoke area) on Friday and a freind is flying up from Salisbury, MD on late Saturday. I'm meeting him at the airport on Sunday morning and we'll be flying from there to OSH (you do know that one, right?) :-} He said something about a stop at Stark County airport in IN I believe. Then to just south west of Chicago and then north to Ripon and hopefully to OSH. I hope there's still room on the field. This is his first trip to OSH and is really pumped. I've been about 12 times since '82 and always driven in and camped in Scholler. This will be my first adventure flying into OSH and camping with the plane. I haven't flown anything since around '96, so I'm not current and hope this will get the juices flowing to build something. Looking at Pietenpols pretty seriously. I hope everyone attending has a great time and safe traveling to all. On Mon, 18 Jul 2005 13:15:26 GMT, Smitty wrote: Anyone else using this routing? What year 172. As I recall, anything more than 30 years old (that would be
the 1974 model) goes into Classic parking, which never closes. Jim "Smitty" wrote in message ... We're going up in a 172. I hope there's still room on the field. |
