Practical welding?

I know a guy who took three semesters of welding... torch, TIG and
MIG... and one of the benefits was he had free use of the equipment,
shop, tools, etc.. for the duration of the class.

Darn cheap if you ask me..

I know a guy that took a machining class for the same reason. The
instructor let him use the equipment for whatever little project he was
working on.
