The deveolpers have been trying to take over our airport for quite a few
years. Private airport, public use. Don't let them build anything that conflicts with the FARS. Keep the FAA informed. From what I have heard, public use airports have some clout with the FAA. Go to all the zoning meetings in the town where the developer is attending. Remind the zoning comittee of the clearance requirements for runways. They may not know that information or want to publically know it. Once they build something which makes aircraft use dangerous, it's hard to go back.
