I wish they'd be issued in lower case, and the boilerplate in some other font
or something.

Yes, I know it dates from the Telex days and I can reformat, but so can they
nowadays.

I considered it. Then I saw some descriptions that made me cringe. I don't
doubt that it's possible, but I'm fairly sure that the shapefiles already
exist

so I'm reluctant to put a lot of effort into the parsing.

It's tempting though...
