An infinite wing has no induced downwash.
How is it supported? It has downwash. There is upflow in front of the wing, and downwash behind the wing. There is more downwash than upflow, this counteracts mg of the wing. There is no vortex at the wingtips (no wingtips) but there is a vortex in the direction of flight.
