Yes, Hampton has two J-3s (one a former L-4 and the other with L-4 glazing) and says it will rent to a Sport Pilot with insurance ($40K now required!). Hampton does all its primary training in the Cubs, and has trained at least two recreational pilots who decided not to transition to a Cessna. At least one of the instructors was interested in the LSA idea but whether he went ahead and got certificated (whatever) I don't know. -- all the best, Dan Ford email: usenet AT danford DOT net Warbird's Forum: www.warbirdforum.com Piper Cub Forum: www.pipercubforum.com In Search of Lost Time: www.readingproust.com |
