My hotel is close to Hobby.
Thanks for the info! "Grumman-581" wrote in message ... "dlevy" wrote in message . .. I'll be flying in to Houston Hobby in a few days. Any tips for a little plane driver? There's a few flight schools on the airport, so the controllers are used to dealing with students / low time pilots who might not be comfortable at a Class-B towered airport... Watch out for the intersection of Rwy 35 and Rwy 04 -- there's a bump that can get you back airborn if you still have a bit of speed when you cross it while landing on 35... But then again, that would require the winds to be out of the north and that hardly *ever* happens around here... At night, the airport is hard to find due to all the lights of the city encroaching upon it... You don't see the runway lights until you are nearly already lined up on the runway... Oh, BTW, why you flying into there when there are so many smaller airports around town? |
