Iowa City is fine if you want to look at some fishing boats g, but if you
want to see one of the country's finest private collections of vintage
airplanes - from the Golden Era of Aviation - well, there's only one place
to be this weekend ...(ANE) Anoka County-Blaine Airport, Minnesota!

I'm heading out to finish setting things up over at ANE/Golden Wings Museum.
Ice + chest will be here at 2pm today. I'll be working the Hangar Dance
Saturday night. You show up, Elliott, and I'll get you into the 6th Annual
Hangar Dance ...AND get you all the beer (or pop) you want to drink - FREE
....you can sleep it off in one of the Tri-Motors. :-)

6th Annual Evening Hangar Dance [Golden Wings Museum]

Featuring the sights & sounds of the 1940’s swing band - "Dave Andrew’s Big
Band"

The doors open at 7pm – music 8pm to Midnight.
$10 Adults
$6 teens ages 13-17
12 & under FREE.

Come in your best period dress! Dance will be held at Golden Wings Museum.

The FLY-IN event will be held at no cost to the public – but asking for a
parking donation

Sounds great! And ANE is a mere 1208 nm for me. That's over one hour
shorter than the 1360 to IOW!
