No, Wichita. But if I was flying near Sporty's I'd stop
just to see what it was like. My home town is Springfield, IL, I would always stop in and see my mom before she died if I was anywhere near and was dead heading or flying cargo. Twin Comanche is small, I'd stop often to let my passengers stretch their legs. You can deviate from a straight line by quite a lot if you do it early and not add a lot of miles. GC distance KEWK to KBGR is 1,335 NM. Batavia is about 185 miles south of the great circle direct track. EWK to I69 is 615 NM and I69 to BGR is 766 NM, for a total of 1,381 NM or 50 miles difference with a 185 mile southern diversion from track. -- James H. Macklin ATP,CFI,A&P -- The people think the Constitution protects their rights; But government sees it as an obstacle to be overcome. some support http://www.usdoj.gov/olc/secondamendment2.htm See http://www.fija.org/ more about your rights and duties. It's a bunch o' vending machines. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice airport, just don't go there for the restaurant. |
