Peter,

Which were what headsets?

Tell me how that DC is different from the Sennheiser HMEC 400 (?), the
Telex Stratus, the Lightspeed Thirty 3G, the Pilot Avionics "whatever
model number" and all those others? Tell me why it is more expensive
than all these while offering exactly the same?

#1 -- It's not all cheap plastic;
#2 -- Company doesn't have a reputation for "great customer service"
because their headsets fall apart or have electrical problems;
#3 -- Is one heck of a lot smaller (low profile) and probably lighter;
#4 -- Folds for compact storage or transport.

There's probably a good #5 in somewhere, but I have to say: If I were
going to spend $800 on the DC X11, I think I'd just kick in another $200
and get the Bose. If I'm not willing to shell out $1k for the Bose, I'm
probably not going to shell out $800 for the DC X11, either. I'm not so
sure that the price point is a good one.

Jonathan,

#1 -- It's not all cheap plastic;

Like which of the ones I mention? Each contains a lot of metal in the
right places. And who says plastic is automatically bad?

We've been through that.

#3 -- Is one heck of a lot smaller (low profile) and probably lighter;

Than?

#4 -- Folds for compact storage or transport.

Some of the ones I mention do that.

Specifically, Lightspeed, who seems to have captured the ANR headset
market.

Most of the competing ANR headsets on the market.

I suggest you look at them again. There's metal in that band...

Bah, humbug. Look at Lightspeed's QFR series, the Sennheisers, the Pilot
Avionics...
