So the 496 provides TFR NOTAMs in flight too?

I'm not sure I understand the question. The 496 provides real-time
TFRs via XM satellite radio, so, yes, it works in flight as well as on
the ground.

It does not contain full NOTAMs. It does contain TFRs, along with the
relevant text of the TFR (type of TFR, start/stop times, etc.) The
color of the TFR graphic also changes depending on whether the TFR is
active or not.
