Sour grapes? You're reading alot into a pretty innocuous sentence.
Perhaps you're projecting. I just wanted to know how high he got. flying_monkey wrote: He _claims_ to have gotten? Why the sour grapes? Why would you doubt him? Considering that he certainly has one or two loggers aboard, proving the truth or falsity of his claim is easy, so why would he lie and expose himself to ridicule? Yeah, I know, you begrudge him the money that makes it possible for him to do this kind of thing (I'm a little envious, myself), but will I find your name in any of these record books which list him? Ed wrote: http://www.newsone.ca/hinesbergjourn...=2703&source=2 The article doesn't bother to mention how high he claims to have gotten. |

2 things:
First, fadoodle, my earlier post was unnecessarily harsh, and I apologize. You didn't use the word claim to indicate doubt, I just read it that way. Sorry. Second, in the following post by Stewart Kissel, his characterization of Fox News as Faux News is new to me (I know, people have probably been using it for months/years, but I'm behind the times), but it's right on! I'll remember that, and probably use it myself. Ed |
