well, i guess i just don't understand or maybe i'm not a real enough
pilot or something. are you saying that if i respond to this guy (or
whatever) you'll "kill file" me??? i have no idea what being kill-filed
is like. does it hurt??

A kill-file simply puts you on a list where my computer will no longer shouw
your posts.

When I killfile someone, I don't see his/her posts. When you reply to
his/her posts and include his/her entire post in your response, now it shows
up on my computer. If you continue re-posting his/her posts, my only
recourse is to killfile you.

Consider killing the message thread instead.

Why not just kill the thread?

I haven't found a way to kill a thread in Outlook Express. I can delete the
thread, but the replies still show up. I tried some other software, but need
transition training in them. g

With the message selected, look under the "Message Menu" you should see an
option that reads "Ignore Conversation", select it.

Now for this to do anything you also have to go under the "View" and select
"Current View" and select "Hide Read or Ignored Messages."

You can add the sender to the blocked senders list.
