Or, did you simply let your medical expire? Diabetes. If you received a diagnosis of diabetes at your family Doctor clinic, and as a result, tossed in the 3rd Class medical towel on your own, that's one thing. If you sent in the paperwork to the FAA Medical folks in Oklahoma City, and got an official DENIED back in the mail, that's another thing altogether. If you left flying (on your own) because of diabetes, you can come back to flying through the Sport Pilot Rule - so long as the FAA has never sent you a DENIED letter. http://www.aopa.org/whatsnew/regulat....html#aircraft 1,320 lbs ....................
