Default Airport Runways and Wind Turbines

It is a starting place. Contact the local FSDO safety
officer. A lot will depend on whether there is an IAP and
even more if there is any commercial operation or
particularly airline passenger traffic.

| A 1/20 grade from the end of the runway for 5000 feet.
Looks like 200 feet
| might fly.

| |A runway for a small town airport is .8 miles long.
What
| is the regulation
| | for maximum height of a structure .9 miles beyond the
end
| of the runway?
| | Given a cessna 170b, for example, the plane could
travel
| that .9 miles in as
| | little as a half a minute. A max rate of climb of
660fpm
| would give it 330
| | ft of elevation. What is the possibility of building
a
| tower or wind
| | turbine there?
| |
| | Thanks
