Most paying passengers are carried under Part 121 where standard Part 91 takeoff minima are the exception rather than the norm. Ops Specs authorize lower-than-standard takeoff minima for almost all runway used under 121, and with enough lights and RVRs, much lower than standard. So, your statement the minimums are higher is not quite right. |
