Not sure on the wattage but it is 21 lumens. That is very very bright for a headlamp. We live in Central Mass. Lots of great cross country skiing around here, assuming there is snow, which we don't have yet. So the gadgets will have to wait, unless I do some night hiking which my dog would enjoy instead of the skiing. KC I would think you would need a lot of brightness for night skiing, but I don't know. ...it is 21 lumens. That is very very bright for a headlamp.
