Controlled flight into glass

I'm an admirer of good satirical humor, but this thinly disguised
piece aimed at denigrating airmen is not funny. Rather it attempts to
unapologetically ridicule airmen in the eyes of the lay public without
any redeeming merit.



Now that you mention it, I agree with you. There seems to be a
pattern at the Onion of making fun of different groups of society, and
they do seem to pick on people and groups who can't defend themselves.

For example, consider the following Onion articles which make fun of
Republicans, Democrats, Nancy Pelosi, John McCain, Russell Feingold and
lobsters.

I am OK with the Onion making fun of Republicans and Democrats.
