Fly into an area with that many blithering idiots? I think not. Maybe
someday. More important things to do around here at that time. Jay Honeck wrote: If you ever get off your ass and fly somewhere good instead of one flat land airport after another This from the guy who never, EVER flies into Oshkosh? I'd rather be flying in the mountains. Hell, I just bought a boat. I'd rather take that out. I grew up in the Twin Cities. No way I want to walk around OSH all day and then sleep in a tent. Now if somebody had an RV, maybe. Plans are firming up for ANE, looks like we'll be there about July 8th for a week. I'll let you know for sure later. |

I'd fill your name in on one of them if I knew you were going to be in town to enjoy your winnings. Chapter volunteers (4? 5? 6?) get their names drawn for a ride to the next stop - St Cloud, MN (which is 43 nm from our airport). The Denver to Waukesha flight would be a fun ride. Waukesha is in (SE) Wis., between Madison and Milwaukee. Last time, the B-17 flew to Duluth from ANE. That's 110 nm. That gang of lucky volunteers rented a van in Duluth and drove home. Montblack What the heck. If you're here, you're here ....you're #395. Good luck! "My" contact info is on all of my people's tickets. |

The B17 was here last year on its tour. My youngest worked at the booth
selling their stuff so got to ride it from here to Denver. I flew down and picked him up. He said it was cool but after a half hour it was time to get out. He said it was cool but after a half hour it was time to get out. That's about the time they entered the German side of the Channel. g Hey, you're in luck. Rides go about 30 minutes, according to the website. http://www.b17.org/faq/ Q: How long does the flight experience last? A: Each flight experience lasts approximately 35 minutes, of those 20 - 22 minutes will be in the air. I've just now got the inside dope - the skinny: Aluminum Overcast will fly from Denver, back to OSH, for a 10 day rest. She'll then do the Wis, Minn, Iowa legs, right before AirVenture. Our EAA Chapter has been "invited" to OSH for help with maintenance & upkeep of the B-17. We're lining up volunteers for the work party. June 18: She departs Denver, for OSH June 29: She makes a short hop to Waukesha, Wis., from OSH July 6-8: She'll be at ANE (North End of the field @ AWAM - by the Tower) http://www.americanwings.org/ (AWAM) American Wings Air Museum @ ANE Montblack |

God almighty, you sound like you're about dead. Prolly play golf, too... Yep I do but not nearly as much as before. I got my handicap down to 5 in the mid 90's but then realized what's the point of this? So I golf occasionally now. This weekend we're taking the 5th wheel and the boat to Helena. There's a time and place for everything. |

Then I learned how to fly, and golf became...just golf. Haven't touched a club since my first flight lesson. -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |
