Thanks for the picture, Where was it taken ?

This aircraft was scrapped in 1971

54-0145 1607 ATW 03-12-71. Scrapped

Yeah, they didn't have them around very long ... less than 15 years?
Compare to, say, the C-47 or C-130!

I grabbed these shots at Sondrestrom AFB, Greenland (the Miami Beach of
the North) during my year of isolated duty: 1962-63. I remember the
aircraft not being around very long. Perhaps just stopped to refuel and
went on his way. Twas a long time ago and the memories have grown dim.

I only got to see one close in 1966 or 67, they flew in to pick up
3 of our helicopters to fly them to Texas for flood relief work.
