Is that just lenticular development or is there some venting?

Purely meteorological - an autumn cold front had cleared the region a few
hours before and the skies were still clearing as we drove pasta Shasta on
the way to Edwards AFB in Nov 1986. Pretty sight it was, though the slide
does need rescanning on better equipment.

Mount St. Helens not far away released a little, very little, steam
yesterday I think it was.
