Grove with 5 engines .............................last note read;
"bumping fires all day and all night, no food, no sleep"

Indeed Rex is a rare fellow.
More than once I have seen him rush off the gliderport to respond to local
rescue and fire calls.
When I heard of the fires down south and saw the mobilization of fire teams
from Ncal, I wondered if he would be volunteering.

I shoulda known. Of course he would.

I am honored to know him and to once have had him as my instructor so many
years ago.
