I searched controller.com for lancair and found an entry that says "Professionally built." Now I know that a homebuilt owner does not have to build the entire thing themself but I thought it still had to be an amateur undertaking. How does this pass muster with the FAA? If it is really built for anything other than the education and entertainment of the builder it is illegal. There is nothing in the regs though that would stop an A&P from building for education and entertainment and then selling it. |
