Hi to all, I'm curious if anyone has first hand experience with keeping Franklin engines running? I'm curious about a couple of homebuilts on barnstormers that are for sale, and I see that some Maule's have them as well (which a friend of mine in interested in buying) and was curious if parts are still being made (especially for the 90 hp version) or if there is any factory support at all? Weren't they being built in Poland for a period of time? Is the type certificate back in the US? Often when you purchase an aircraft with a Franklin engine it comes with a spare. Seems like Franklin owners like to keep a backup. -Robert |
