Just wondered what her plans are to go to Mars? (Interplanetary) Beats me. Sounds like she is keeping them secret. It's her goal and dream, so I'm sure she'll do her best. When I was about her age I had plans along those lines too. My oldest brother had a copy of "The Mars Project" by Wernher Von Braun and "Rocket Manual for Amateurs" by Bertrand Brinley. I had checked out "Project Sherwood - The U.S. Program in Controlled Fusion" by Amasa Bishop from the library. With ideas from those references I drew plans for a fusion powered spacecraft about the size of a small van. (The stellarator "donut" was between the fuel tank and rocket engines. I had no clue of course about how most of it was going to work!) Four decades of reality later I wish her the best of luck. See http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...21846673788606 We're almost there. WB-7 had first plasma a couple of weeks ago. |
