Our club (http://skysoaring.com) owns a ex-military L-19/O-1 "Bird Dog". *Nice and powerful two seat-er. It has one other interesting attribute. *Due to it being an observation plane, the rear stick can be removed and the rear seat back repositioned so that the passenger can face backwards. *This is great to view a glider takeoff. Here is my first attempt at taking a video through the rear window, all set to music. *I reduced the ~10 min tow to ~2 minutes. http://derosaweb.net/aviation/videos I need to see if I can rig up a tripod rather than hand hold the camera. * No, I wasn't playing the guitar while filming. Thanks, John DeRosa Nice videos John - I especially liked the "Glider following Glider" one. Nice boots! ;-) Frank (TA) |
