Not really. Although the one pictured has a great capacity, it has to return to a runway, then go drop again. Turn around times of around 45 minutes, or more. A CL-215 or 414 or a Mars can land on water, usually nearby in the woodlands, then drop again. Turn around times less than 10 minutes usually, and sometimes less than 2 minutes. -- Jim in NC |
