The film was about the 787 and featured Boeings chief test pilot. *It
sort of was a basic 40 minute history of technology advancements in
aviaiton. Pretty neat.

See the "Schleicher Glider" video in the multimedia section.

Fake looking wings, meant to be an ASW-20 has ASW-22 looking wings
that don't flex as the G loading changes. And amusingly SSA contest ID
belongs to somebody who owns an umm PW5. Ha.

It would be really nice had they tried to do something real.

I recently saw it in 3D and was not impressed. Much of the movie took
place in some Boeing meeting room where nothing much of interest was
discussed. I don't want to go to a movie just to sit in on a boring
corporate movie! The flying parts were ok, except the 3D was very poorly
done. The line graphics broke the effect for me completely, and in the
flying scenes it made the airplanes look like they were about six inches
long. These movie makers need to understand that parallax stops being
visible for distant objects, and trying to force it just makes those
objects look miniature.

Yep it's like one of those cheap made for TV aircraft crash stories
with cheesy computer animation, acted out cockpit shots with random
button pushing and stupid made up dialog. If I want to see CGI
aircraft I can fly them myself in X-Plane or Silent Wings....

I've got a feeling that too many non-aviation folks were involved.
Just lacks that feel of something lovingly done like One Six Right.
