confirm that vector maps for an area are cached
once they have been downloaded from the cloud? Yes, that's the whole point. Can you confirm that vector maps for an area are cached once they have been downloaded from the cloud? I'm thinking of the case where there is internet access at the hotel several miles from the airport, but no internet access at the airport itself. I'm betting that you do.. -John On Apr 29, 7:19 am, Andrej Kolar wrote: Thanks for asking, John. When we started announcing that we are moving the maps into the cloud quite a few early testers said "Great. But don't forget that a significant amount of gliding is done in areas with poor or no internet access." Think Namibia, many places out west, South America or just yourself travelling around. A software which would have to be connected to the internet would be quite useless in many such cases. It is therefore still possible to buy CDs with vector maps from our store and it is still possible to load your old maps into SeeYou 4. If your computer is regularly online, then it certainly make sense to use the maps from the cloud. They are much better quality than the old maps. And they keep getting updated. Enjoy SeeYou 4.
