Back on topic, to be right, you would have to submit more than your opinion regarding the content of the article in question. You would have to propose that the DUMBs are intact. You are living proof that there is no shortage of DUMB's Keith *PLONK* Is there anyone on the rec.aviation groups who knows hoew to debate without acting like an infant? |

Debate this then: I just love the assertion that Sukarno, of Indonesia, gave Pres Kennedy 140,000 tons of gold! That’s a lot of gold! In fact, with an estimated 160,000 tons having been extracted throughout history, and 15% being used in industry, this pretty much means that every ring, every necklace, every coin and every ingot and bar in the world had to be requisitioned by Sukarno to make this ostentatious gift! My parents never told me about the sad day they had to surrender their wedding rings to Indonesia! Still in on the debate, Tom? The weird thing about kookbabble though, is that they are not in the least destabilized when one points out these outrageous stupidities. They will blithely wipe it away "Oh well, change that to..." They do not seem to realize how obvious it becomes that the entire rubble pile of verbiage is simply pulled out of some latter day Ted Kazinski’s rear end, and they will adhere to it as gospel until every single pebble of it has been held up to the light and dissipates under scrutiny. A bit like the Unabomber, in fact, the idea would appear to be to wow the ignorant with the sheer sticky mass of gooey verbiage, and to discourage more serious critics by the sheer vastness of the wasteland of nonsensical assertions. Don’t get me wrong though, I am fully convinced of the existence of the DUMBS! |
