What threw me off was the air scoop on the starboard fuselage, which
is a prominent feature on the French maritime recon Lancasters.

There are similar scoops on the Mark X as well:

service of the Aéronavale. I wonder if the scoop wasn't a post-war mod
associated with cooling for radar sets.
