Back here in the East, we have ground hogs (Punxatawnee Phil) and keep them away by dropping moth balls down their holes. Sometimes that does not work if the ground hog is determined so we take other measures. Tom A tablespoon of gas dumped into the hole, stand back and throw a lighted match in the hole. There follows a 'crump' sound (just like in the old war coomics), and the little guys don't appear. It was advice from a farmer and it worked for me. |
