Usama bin Laden claims Spain as part

of
Islam and has said so many
times.

Well he claims the whole world for a

future
muslim theocracy too for
that
matter.

Grenada Spain is part of Islam's glory

old
days. The Califate is an
important symbol in bin Laden's message.

Yes, and for the bin laden types, it is

an
major defeat, that for them,
could
have well just been yesterday that happened.
As evidenced by the AQ statement regarding
settling old accounts with
Spain.

If voters in any western country think

that
a less confrontational policy
towards the groups such as AQ/bin laden

will
make them safer, they are
sorely
mistaken. I am not pointing to any specific
events like Spain, but in
general,
in how it appears some Europeans would

rather
appease or not cooperate
with the
US/UK, for fear of making the terrorists

more
mad.

I don't think Europe understands that none

of
that matters to al Qaeda.

The only way to deal with Al-Queda and their

affiliates and wannabe
organizations
is to kill them, period. Make membership in

the organization very
unattractive
by making sure the message gets out that if

you join AQ, your life is
forfeit.
Find the remaining leadership (whereever they

are) and kill them without
mercy or quarter. Then go after the mid-level

operatives and either bring
them in: either in cuffs or in a body bag.

The foot soldiers and
financiers
are next, along with shutting down and keeping

shut down front companies
and money laundering operations. Once AQ is

done away with, go after the
affiliates and wannabe organizations and individuals

and mete out the same
treatment. If the bleeding hearts want to

bleed about this, they can go
ahead
and bleed. Meanwhile, a dirty job which needs

doing is going to get done.

Spain has chosen a different path.

Unfortunately. Some just can't get the idea that AQ and its affiliates
can't be bargained with or reasoned with. You find them and you kill them,
period. No ifs, ands, or buts. Counterterrorism is a dirty business, but
it's a job that needs doing.
