It's just a small accomplishment, and it was no great distance (about 10
miles), however, heading out down wind from the airport in a 1-26, towards

and the thermals were good, and I had a trailer in the parking lot ready to

I drove out and had a peek at the airport before flying to have a look
around, planned the flight and flew the plan. The hardest part was
convincing myself to turn down wind and go..

I've been going further, did a 32 mile round trip over the weekend. The fear of landing out is mostly gone now Soaring is much more fun when you have a mission.
